Softball Recap: Carver A&T Takes a Loss

Carver A&T lost against Perry Hall back in May of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Wildcats fell just short of the Gators by a score of 7-6.

Haleigh Frye and Mia McGarvey stepped up to the plate in a big way. Frye scored a run while going 3-for-4, while McGarvey went 1-for-3 with one triple, one run, and one RBI. That triple was McGarvey's first of the season.

Carver A&T's loss dropped their record down to 3-5. As for Perry Hall, they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five games. That's provided a massive bump to their 4-4 record this season.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Carver A&T will host Dundalk at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. The Owls' pitching crew has only allowed 3.6 runs per game this season, so the Wildcats' hitters will have their work cut out for them. As for Perry Hall, they will welcome Eastern Tech at 4:00 p.m. on Friday.
