Basketball Recap: Pawnee City Indians vs. Tri County Trojans
The Pawnee City Indians lost against the Tri County Trojans back in December of 2023, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. Pawnee City was dealt a 49-19 loss at the hands of the Trojans. Pawnee City has not had much luck with the Trojans recently, as the team's come up short the last three times they've met.
Despite the loss, Pawnee City had strong showings from Kinsley Benson, who scored eight points along with two steals, and Madelyn Osborne, who scored two points along with five steals.
Pawnee City's defeat dropped their record down to 1-15. As for Tri County, their victory bumped their record up to 7-10.
Pawnee City will be staying on the road on Friday to face off against the Jets at 4:30 p.m. on February 2nd. Sterling is coming into the game hot, having won their last three games. As for Tri County, they won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against the Irish at 6:00 p.m. on January 30th.
