The Skyridge Falcons will head out to face off against the Orem Tigers at 2:30 p.m. on Friday. Skyridge is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 8.8 runs per game this season.

Skyridge's tournament run continued when they took on Pahrump Valley on Saturday. Skyridge fell just short of Pahrump Valley by a score of 10-9.

Awtumn Lorenzo was cooking despite her team's loss, going 2-for-4 with one home run and two RBI. Another player making a difference was Peyton Hall, who scored two runs while going 2-for-4.

Lorenzo wasn't the only one working in the home run department: Skyridge lost a few balls and finished the game with three home runs. That's the most home runs they've managed all season.

Orem never got on the board in their matchup on Monday, but that sure wasn't the case in their game against Provo on Thursday. Their pitcher stepped up to hand the Bulldogs a 16-0 shutout. The result was nothing new for the Tigers, who have now won four games by 12 runs or more so far this season.

Cheyanne Wells was incredible, scoring three runs and stealing Five bases. while going 4-for-4. That's the most hits she has posted since back in April of 2024. Mina Powelson also deserves some recognition as she snagged her first stolen base of the season.

The victory got Orem back to even at 6-6. As for Skyridge, their defeat dropped their record down to 5-5.

Fans could be in store for some top-tier slugging on Friday. Skyridge hasn't had any problems when it comes to power this season, having averaged 0.6 home runs per game. However, it's not like Orem struggles in that department as they've been averaging 0.9 home runs. With so much power on both teams, it'll be down to the pitchers to keep the mound locked down.

Everything went Skyridge's way against Orem when the teams last played back in March of 2022, as Skyridge made off with a 10-0 win. Will Skyridge repeat their success, or does Orem have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
