Volleyball Recap: Superior Comes Up Short

Superior was the 2-0 winner over Bloomer when they last played one another back in September of 2018, but their luck changed this time around. The Spartans fell just short of the Blackhawks by a score of 2-1 on Saturday.

Isabelle Barker paced Superior's offense, picking up ten kills. Barker got some help from Claire Egnash and her 16 assists. Egnash also made an impact serving: she shared the team lead in aces with Jazmine Smith, racking up two apiece.

Superior's loss dropped their record down to 3-7. As for Bloomer, the win got them back to even at 4-4.

Superior wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 2-0 defeat against River Valley on the 30th. As for Bloomer, they have also already played their next game, a 2-1 loss against Clear Lake on the 30th.
