Volleyball Recap: Trinity Christian Takes Loss Despite Strong Performances from Cecily Kaufman and Jersey Mccasland

After flying high against Coram Deo Academy on Saturday, Trinity Christian came back down to earth. The Lions lost 3-0 to the Midland Christian Mustangs on Tuesday. The defeat continues a trend for the Lions in their meetings with the Mustangs: they've now lost four in a row.

While Trinity Christian was not able to make it on the board, they still kept things close, especially in the first set. The final score came out to 25-23, 25-17, 25-10.

Jersey McCasland and Cecily Kaufman certainly did their best on Tuesday to avoid the loss. McCasland had 18 digs and two aces, while Kaufman had ten assists and eight digs. McCasland is on a roll when it comes to digs, as she's now had ten or more in each of the last 21 games she's played.

Trinity Christian's loss dropped their record down to 26-10. As for Midland Christian, their win was their fifth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 18-20.

Trinity Christian didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 3-2 victory against Fort Worth Christian on the 24th. As for Midland Christian, they have also already played their next matchup, a 3-0 win against Grace Prep on the 24th.
