Volleyball Recap: iMater Charter Comes Up Short

After flying high against Hialeah-Miami Lakes on Wednesday, IMater Charter came back down to earth. The Knights lost 3-0 to the Mourning Sharks on Friday. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Sharks this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 3-0 back in August.

The final score came out to 25-12, 25-7, 25-17.

Leading Mourning to victory were Chloe Revilla-Albo and Julia Shevit. Revilla-Albo had five digs, four aces, and one block, while Shevit had three aces. That's the most aces Shevit has posted since back in August.

IMater Charter dropped their record down to 5-9 with the defeat, which was their third straight on the road. As for Mourning, their record is now 6-10.

Coming up, iMater Charter will venture away from home to face off against Sports Leadership & Management at 3:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Mourning, they will host Somerset Academy at 5:00 p.m. on Monday.
