Volleyball Recap: Alyssa Baughier and Piper Seaman Secure Win for Veterans

After losing to Ola the last time they met, Veterans decided to demonstrate that turnabout is fair play. The Warhawks were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over the Mustangs on Tuesday.

Veterans never let Ola on the board, but things got pretty close in the second set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-15, 25-22, 25-17.

Leading Veterans to victory were Piper Seaman and Alyssa Baughier. Seaman had 13 digs and three aces, while Baughier had five digs and two aces.

They weren't the only good server: Veterans was lethal from the service line and finished the game with ten aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now served at least ten aces in four consecutive contests dating back to last season.

Veterans now has a winning record of 2-1. As for Ola, the loss snapped their winning streak at three games and leaves them with a 7-3 record.

Looking ahead, Veterans will look to defend their home court on Thursday against Lowndes at 5:00 p.m. The Vikings will roll in looking for their fifth straight win, something the Warhawks surely won't give up without a fight. As for Ola, they will face off against Walnut Grove at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
