Baseball Recap: Kane Takes a Loss

Kane came into this matchup off a tough eight-run loss last Wednesday. This time they kept things ultra-competitive, but unfortunately the final result was the same. They fell just short of the Port Allegany Gators by a score of 10-8 on Friday. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Wolves of the 10-6 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in May of 2023.

Eric Novosel was cooking despite his team's loss, scoring two runs and stealing two bases while going 3-for-3. He also hit a double, marking his first of the season.

Kane now has a losing record of 2-3. As for Port Allegany, their win bumped their record up to 2-0.

Coming up, Kane will look to take advantage of their home field for the first time this season as they takes on Bradford at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. The Wolves are facing the Owls at the right time seeing as the Owls are stuck on a three-game losing streak. As for Port Allegany, they are taking a road trip to challenge Northern Potter at 4:30 p.m. on Monday.
