It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but Springville had no problem doing just that on Wednesday. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the Orem Tigers and snuck past 9-7. The win made it back-to-back victories for Springville.
Reid Deede was excellent, scoring three runs and stealing a base. Naulivou Lauaki was another key contributor, scoring two runs while going 3-for-4.
Springville has been performing well recently as they've won ten of their last 12 matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 22-7 record this season. As for Orem, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 22-9.
