Baseball Recap: Coalfield Gets the Win

Coalfield was not the first on the board on Thursday, but they got there more often. They came out on top against the Fairview Eagles by a score of 6-3.

Luke Treece and Levi Heidel did most of the damage at the plate: Treece scored two runs and stole two bases while going 2-for-4, while Heidel scored a run and stole a base while going 1-for-3. Lane Adcock was another key player, scoring a run and stealing two bases while going 1-for-2.

Coalfield's win bumped their record up to 9-2. As for Fairview, their defeat dropped their record down to 4-6.

Coalfield wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next game, a 9-0 loss against North Bullitt on the 4th. As for Fairview, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next match, a 9-2 victory against Symmes Valley on the 8th.
