Recap: Glennallen Panthers vs. Seward Seahawks
The Glennallen Panthers lost against the Seward Seahawks back in December of 2023, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. Glennallen fell just short of Seward by a score of 41-39. Glennallen has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Several Panthers players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Raylie Sutherland, who scored 12 points. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Sutherland has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Cheyenne Fields, who scored 11 points.
Glennallen's defeat dropped their record down to 4-4. As for Seward, their victory bumped their record up to 6-2.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Glennallen will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Tok at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Seward, Seward and Nikiski will face off at 6:00 p.m. on January 16th without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. Nikiski is coming into the game on a three-game losing streak.
