Basketball Recap: Sebastian Vicu?a Key Part of Team Effort in Ravens Win

Rio Grande hadn't done well against Los Lunas recently (they were 1-8 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Friday. The Rio Grande Ravens came out on top in a nail-biter against the Los Lunas Tigers, sneaking past 38-36. This was a revenge game for the Ravens: when they faced off against the Tigers on February 4th, they had to take a 40-36 defeat.

Rio Grande's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Sebastian Vicu?a, who posted 13 points. Those 13 points gave Vicu?a a new career-high. Mateo Gonzalez was another key player, putting up 11 points.

Rio Grande's win was their first in the district, bumping their district record up to 1-7 and their overall record up to 4-22. As for Los Lunas, their loss was their 13th straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 6-19.
