Softball Recap: Tuscaloosa Academy Takes a Tough Playoff Loss

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Tuscaloosa Academy can now relate to. They lost 17-2 to the Sulligent Blue Devils on Monday. The Knights were red-hot at the plate heading into the game (they scored no less than ten runs in the six matchups prior), but the Blue Devils' pitchers proved too tough.

Tuscaloosa Academy saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Anna Claire Johnson, who went 1-for-2 with one triple and one RBI.

Tuscaloosa Academy's loss ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 14-8. As for Sulligent, their victory was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 21-12-1.

As of now, neither Tuscaloosa Academy nor the Blue Devils have any future games scheduled.
