Recap: Crowley Gent vs. Eunice Bobcats
The Crowley Gent's's game last Tuesday was a tough loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Tuesday. They enjoyed a cozy 42-25 victory over Eunice. That result was just more of the same for these two, as Crowley also won the last time the pair played back in November of 2022.
Crowley's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Alaysia Arvie, who almost dropped a triple-double on 15 points, 9 rebounds, and 12 steals. That makes it three consecutive games in which Arvie has scored at least 25% of Crowley's points. Joe 'Kya Pete was another key contributor, dropping a double-double on 13 points and 10 blocks.
Crowley's win bumped their record up to 1-2. As for Eunice, they still haven't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-6.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Crowley will take on Hanson Memorial at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Eunice, they will look to defend their home court on Thursday against Lake Charles College Prep at 6:00 p.m. Lake Charles College Prep presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Eunice in Louisiana (Lake Charles College Prep is ranked 110th, while Eunice is ranked 256th).
