East Gaston entered their tilt with Bessemer City on Tuesday with five consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with six. They were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over the Yellow Jackets. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 3-0 back in September.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-8, 25-11, 25-21.

Among those leading the charge was Morgan Styles, who had 11 assists and five aces.

Styles wasn't the only good servers: East Gaston was lethal from the service line and finished the match with 15 aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now served at least five aces in 13 consecutive matches.

East Gaston's victory bumped their record up to 19-4. As for Bessemer City, they are on a 13-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-14.

East Gaston wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 3-2 win against South Point on the 8th. As for Bessemer City, they will host Cherryville at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday.
