Basketball Game Preview: Berry Cardinals vs. Olympic Trojans

The Berry Cardinals will head out on the road to take on the Olympic Trojans at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this game.

On Tuesday, Berry ended up a good deal behind Myers Park and lost 51-33. The defeat continues a trend for the Cardinals in their matchups with the Mustangs: they've now lost seven in a row.

Berry's loss shouldn't obscure the performances of Zahnia Long, who posted 13 points, and Parker Breelove, who put up 13 points.

Meanwhile, Olympic lost to Ardrey Kell at home by a 43-25 margin on Tuesday. The contest marked the Trojans' lowest-scoring match so far this season.

Olympic dropped their record down to 6-10 with the defeat, which was their fourth straight at home. As for Berry, their loss dropped their record down to 5-9.

Berry and Olympic were neck-and-neck in their previous matchup back in February of 2024, but Berry came up empty-handed after a 43-42 defeat. Can Berry avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
