Softball Recap: Chico Takes a Loss

Saturday just wasn't the day for Chico's offense. They fell just short of the Palma Chieftains by a score of 2-0 on Saturday. Having soared to a lofty 13 runs in the game before, the Panthers' shutout was a dramatic turnaround.

Chico saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Emily Babler, who went 1-for-3 with one double.

Chico moved to 7-5 with that defeat, which also ended their three-game winning streak. As for Palma, their victory bumped their record up to 5-8.

Coming up, Chico will take on Scotts Valley in a tournament on Saturday. As for Palma, they will take on Everett Alvarez at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
