Basketball Game Preview: Crooms Academy Panthers vs. Oasis Christian Lions

A feisty cat fight is on tap when the Crooms Academy Panthers duke it out with the Oasis Christian Lions at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday... Crooms Academy knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past seven matchups -- so hopefully Oasis Christian likes a good challenge.

Crooms Academy will bounce into Tuesday's contest after beating Orangewood Christian, who they had gone 0-7 against in their seven prior meetings. Crooms Academy came out on top against Orangewood Christian by a score of 78-70 on Thursday.

Crooms Academy got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Kenai Anderson out in front who dropped a double-double on 20 points and 14 boards. With that strong performance, Anderson is now averaging an impressive 8.3 rebounds per game. The team also got some help courtesy of Julian Gill, who went 10 for 16 on his way to 25 points and six boards.

Oasis Christian fell on hard times earlier this season, but after back-to-back victories it seems like their luck might finally be changing. They walked away with a 49-39 win over Liberty Christian Prep on Friday.

Crooms Academy better keep an eye on Zach Shannon. He was instrumental in Oasis Christian's win, putting up 15 points. Jesse Howell was another key player, scoring nine points.

Crooms Academy has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five games, which provided a massive bump to their 9-7 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 75.4 points per game. As for Oasis Christian, their victory bumped their record up to 4-9.
