Baseball Game Preview: Rocklin Thunder vs. Oak Ridge Trojans

For the second straight game, Rocklin will face off against Oak Ridge. The Thunder will host the Trojans at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The last four games Rocklin has played have been within two runs, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.

The home team had won the previous three meetings between Rocklin and Oak Ridge, and Oak Ridge kept the tradition alive. The Thunder fell just short of the Trojans by a score of 2-1 on Monday.

For Oak Ridge's part, Jackson Molloy spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered a run (which was unearned) on one hit. Molloy has become a key player for the Trojans: the team is 4-1 when he allows at most three hits, but 6-14 otherwise.

At the plate, Oak Ridge secured the victory behind a pair of hitters. One of them was Matt Burns, who went 1-for-2 with one run.

Rocklin's defeat ended a six-game streak of away wins and brought them to 20-6. As for Oak Ridge, their win ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 10-15.
