Telluride is 8-2 against Ridgway since April of 2021 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Thursday. The Miners will square off against the Demons at 4:00 p.m. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Telluride has seven straight wins, Ridgway has four straight losses), but none of that matters once you're on the pitch.

If Ridgway heads into halftime all tied up, they better play a good second half: that's when Telluride took over last week. The Miners came out on top against Gunnison by a score of 3-1 last Saturday.

Obi Clarke and Diego Montano scored all three of Telluride's goals, bringing their combined season tally to 20 goals.

Meanwhile, Ridgway came up short against Fruita Monument on Tuesday, falling 7-1. While losing is never fun, Ridgway can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Colorado soccer rankings (they are ranked 204th, while Fruita Monument are ranked 91st).

Ridgway's defeat dropped their record down to 2-8-1. As for Telluride, their victory bumped their record up to 9-2.

Telluride took their win against Ridgway when the teams last played last Thursday by a conclusive 9-0 score. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Miners since the squad won't have the home-pitch advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
