Softball Recap: Sunnyslope Vikings vs. Boulder Creek Jaguars

Sunnyslope was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They fell 8-4 to the Boulder Creek Jaguars. Sunnyslope was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Boulder Creek apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played last Wednesday.

Molly Nordstrom and Sophia Pina did some serious damage despite the final result: Nordstrom went 2-for-3 with a home run, two RBI, and a double, while Pina went 2-for-3 with a home run and three runs.

On Boulder Creek's side, Kinsey Wilcox spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered just two earned (and two unearned) runs on eight hits. Wilcox has been consistent recently: she hasn't given up more than one walk in four consecutive pitching appearances.
