Volleyball Game Preview: Atascadero Greyhounds vs. Morro Bay Pirates + Official Tickets

The Atascadero Greyhounds will venture away from home to take on the Morro Bay Pirates at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Atascadero will be strutting in after a victory while Morro Bay will be coming in after a loss.

Atascadero will bounce into Tuesday's contest after beating Paso Robles, who they had gone 2-7 against in their nine prior meetings. The Greyhounds put the hurt on the Bearcats with a sharp 3-0 win on Thursday.

Atascadero never let Paso Robles on the board, but things got pretty close in the first set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-23, 25-18, 25-21.

Meanwhile, Morro Bay suffered their biggest defeat since September 16th on Thursday. They lost 3-0 to Nipomo. The Pirates have struggled against the Titans recently, as the game was their eighth consecutive lost matchup.

The match finished with set scores of 25-16, 25-19, 25-15.

Atascadero pushed their record up to 23-8 with the victory, which was their fourth straight at home. As for Morro Bay, their loss dropped their record down to 17-21.

Atascadero skirted past Morro Bay 3-2 when the teams last played back in September. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Greyhounds since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
