Softball Recap: Hudson Takes a Loss

Hudson was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their eighth straight defeat dating back to last season. They fell 5-2 to the Twinsburg Tigers. The matchup marked the Explorers' lowest-scoring contest so far this season.

Corinne Stearns and Shawna Baylor stepped up to the plate in a big way. Stearns scored a run while going 2-for-4, while Baylor scored a run and stole a base while getting on base in three of her four plate appearances. That stolen base marked the first that Baylor snagged this season.

Hudson's loss dropped their record down to 0-7. As for Twinsburg, they now have a winning record of 5-4.

Coming up, Hudson will be playing at home against Holy Name at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Explorers' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Green Wave have averaged an impressive 9.6 runs per game this season. As for Twinsburg, they will square off against Field at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday.
