Baseball Recap: Jefferson Takes a Loss

Jefferson was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss dating back to last season. They lost 16-1 to the Columbus Grove Bulldogs. The Wildcats were not able to make up for their defeat to the Bulldogs from their previous meeting back in April of 2025.

Jefferson's loss dropped their record down to 0-4. As for Columbus Grove, their victory bumped their record up to 4-2.

Looking ahead, Jefferson will face off against Leipsic at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Columbus Grove, they will take on Celina in a tournament on Saturday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (Columbus Grove 2.7, Celina 2.5) so any runs scored will be well earned.
