Softball Recap: Liberty's Losing Streak Is a Thing of the Past

Liberty can bid farewell to their six-game losing streak thanks to their game on Wednesday. Everything went their way against the Leetonia Bears as they made off with a 15-4 win. The high-scoring performance was a welcome turnaround for the Leopards' hitters, who had struggled in the games prior.

Liberty's victory bumped their record up to 7-10. As for Leetonia, they are on a 28-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-12.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Liberty will take on Southeast at 5:30 p.m. on Monday. The Leopards' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Pirates have averaged an impressive 8.1 runs per game this season. As for Leetonia, they will host David Anderson at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Bears' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Blue Devils have averaged an impressive 7 runs per game this season.
