Mt. Pulaski barely beat Warrensburg-Latham the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Hilltoppers blew past the Cardinals 16-4 on Friday. The result was nothing new for the Hilltoppers, who have now won 13 games by six runs or more so far this season.

The victory made it two in a row for Mt. Pulaski and bumps their season record up to 20-5. The wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered a grand total of 4 runs in those games. As for Warrensburg-Latham, their defeat dropped their record down to 23-6.

Coming up, Mt. Pulaski will challenge Monticello at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (the Hilltoppers 3, the Sages 2.6) so any runs scored will be well earned. As for Warrensburg-Latham, they will be playing in front of their home fans against MacArthur at 4:30 p.m. on Monday.
