Basketball Recap: Dudley's Luck Takes a Turn for the Worse on Saturday

After flying high against Eastern Guilford on Friday, Dudley came back down to earth. The Dudley Panthers fell just short of the Salisbury Hornets by a score of 68-66 on Saturday. Despite running the score up even higher than they did in their prior game on Friday (64), the Panthers still had to take the loss.

With the defeat, Dudley broke their four-game winning streak and moved their record to 7-6. As for Salisbury, their victory was their 22nd straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 13-3.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Dudley will welcome High Point Central at 8:00 p.m. on Friday. High Point Central knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past eight matchups -- so hopefully Dudley likes a good challenge. As for Salisbury, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Queen City Prep at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Salisbury is facing Queen City Prep at the right time seeing as Queen City Prep is stuck on a five-game losing streak.
