Baseball Game Preview: Murdock Blue Devils vs. Bromfield Trojans

Murdock hasn't had much luck against Bromfield recently, but that could start to change on Wednesday. The Blue Devils will be playing at home against the Trojans at 4:00 p.m. Murdock has given up an average of 13.1 runs per game this season, but Wednesday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Murdock might be feeling deja-vu: they lost 17-1 to Montachusett RVT, which was the same score (and result) they got the week prior.

Murdock saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Julien Rodriguez, who went a perfect 1-for-1 with one RBI.

Meanwhile, Bromfield fell victim to Quabbin Regional and their airtight pitching crew on Friday. They took a 4-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Panthers. Having soared to a lofty 12 runs in the game before, the Trojans' shutout was a dramatic turnaround.

Murdock's defeat dropped their record down to 0-8. As for Bromfield, their loss dropped their record down to 2-6.

Murdock might still be hurting after the 13-1 defeat they got from Bromfield in their previous meeting back in May of 2025. Can the Blue Devils avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
