Volleyball Recap: West Laurens Comes Up Short

West Laurens was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They fell 2-0 to the Eagle's Landing Christian Academy Chargers.

The match finished with set scores of 25-9, 25-17.

Chloe Kemp paced West Laurens' offense, picking up two kills. Kemp got some help from Skylar Fountain and her two assists. Emma Darley controlled things from the service line, finishing with two aces.

West Laurens' loss dropped their record down to 14-23. As for Eagle's Landing Christian Academy, the win (which was their seventh in a row) raised their record to 27-10-1.

West Laurens has already played their next matchup (against Troup County), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. As for Eagle's Landing Christian Academy, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 2-1 victory against Ola on the 9th.
