Baseball Recap: Tuscarawas Central Catholic Comes Up Short

Tuscarawas Central Catholic was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their 38th straight defeat dating back to last season. They came up short against the Buckeye Trail Warriors, falling 8-0. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Warriors this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 12-2 on Monday.

Tuscarawas Central Catholic's loss dropped their record down to 0-19. As for Buckeye Trail, they are on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 13-6 record this season.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Tuscarawas Central Catholic will face off against Conotton Valley at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Rockets' pitching crew has only allowed 3.7 runs per game this season, so the Saints' hitters will have their work cut out for them. As for Buckeye Trail, they will challenge John Glenn at 5:00 p.m. on Friday.
