Eaglecrest had won three straight home games and Ella Mack did her part to make it four last Thursday. The Raptors walked away with a 3-1 win over Arapahoe with plenty of help from Mack, who had nine digs and three aces. She is on a roll when it comes to aces, as she's now served two or more in each of the last three games she's played.
The match finished with set scores of 25-16, 25-21, 17-25, 25-16.
Meanwhile, Grandview unfortunately witnessed the end of their three-match winning streak last Thursday. They lost 3-0 to Cherry Creek.
Grandview was held off the scoreboard, but that almost wasn't the case: they kept the third set very close. The final score came out to 25-20, 25-17, 25-22.
Eaglecrest will have to contain Ruby Igel as she made an impact in Grandview's last game. She had 11 digs and one assist.
Eaglecrest's victory bumped their record up to 9-7. As for Grandview, their defeat dropped their record down to 6-10.
Here's a few offensive stats to keep an eye on ahead of Tuesday's contest: Eaglecrest hasn't let much over the net this season, having averaged 5.6 blocks per game. It's a different story for Grandview, though, as they've been averaging only 0.3 blocks. Given Eaglecrest's sizable advantage in that area, the Wolves will need to find a way to close that gap.
Eaglecrest was able to grind out a solid win over Grandview in their previous meeting back in September, winning 3-1. Will the Raptors repeat their success, or do the Wolves have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
