Football Game Preview: Southern Coffey County vs. Altoona-Midway

On Friday Southern Coffey County take on Altoona-Midway . Southern Coffey County don't have the home-field advantage, but they do enjoy an advantage in the MaxPreps rankings.

Last Friday, Southern Coffey County put the finishing touches on their 3rd blowout victory of the season. Everything came up roses for them against Chetopa as the squad secured a 64-6 victory. Senior Dawson Leimkuhler, who rushed for 130 yards and 3 touchdowns, was a major factor in Southern Coffey County's success. Leimkuhler has been a consistent playmaker for Southern Coffey County as this was the 5th good game in a row from him.

Meanwhile, after a big victory against Chetopa two weeks ago, Altoona-Midway came back down to earth. Altoona-Midway took a serious blow against St. Paul, falling 6-52. Altoona-Midway's low-scoring loss was the unsatisfying follow-up to their high-scoring outing the contest before.

Southern Coffey County's win lifted them to 3-2 while Altoona-Midway's defeat dropped them down to 1-4. We'll find out if Southern Coffey County can add another positive mark to their record or if Altoona-Midway can shake off the defeat and take the spring out of Southern Coffey County's step.
