Basketball Recap: Ray Comes Up Short

After flying high against San Manuel on Saturday, Ray came back down to earth. The Bearcats took a hard 80-63 fall against the Hayden Lobos on Tuesday. The defeat continues a trend for the Bearcats in their meetings with the Lobos: they've now lost five in a row.

When it comes to explaining why Ray lost, don't look at Seth Wade. Despite the final result, he went 11-for-20 on his way to 28 points and four steals. Wade is on a roll when it comes to steals, as he's now grabbed two or more in each of the last three games he's played. Another player making a difference was Logan Rice, who dropped a double-double with ten points and 11 boards.

Ray's loss dropped their record down to 16-9. As for Hayden, the victory was the tenth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 18-5.

Ray does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Hayden, they will welcome Valley Lutheran at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Lobos will be up against the Flames' rather soft defense (which has allowed 49.63 points per matchup), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance.
