Basketball Game Preview: River Valley Blackhawks vs. Wisconsin Heights Vanguards

River Valley is probably headed into the matchup with a chip on their shoulder considering Cambridge just ended the team's four-game winning streak on Tuesday. They were beaten by the Bluejays 82-47. The contest marked the Blackhawks' lowest-scoring game so far this season.

Meanwhile, Wisconsin Heights won against Wonewoc-Center on Monday with 73 points and they decided to stick to that point total again on Tuesday. Wisconsin Heights enjoyed a cozy 73-55 win over Wonewoc-Center. That's two games straight that the Vanguards have won by exactly 18 points.

Wisconsin Heights is on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five matchups, which provided a massive bump to their 4-3 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 61.4 points per game. As for River Valley, their loss dropped their record down to 4-2.

River Valley was able to grind out a solid victory over Wisconsin Heights in their previous matchup back in December of 2023, winning 58-49. Will River Valley repeat their success, or does Wisconsin Heights have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
