Baseball Recap: Tohopekaliga Takes a Loss

Tohopekaliga lost against Master's Academy back in March of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Wednesday. Tohopekaliga fell 10-5 to Master's Academy.

Tohopekaliga saw seven different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Samuel Isturiz, who scored two runs and stole two bases while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances. Isturiz has become a key player for Tohopekaliga: the team is 2-1 when he posts at least two runs, but 4-6 otherwise. Another was Fernando Ferrer, who scored two runs while going 1-for-3.

Tohopekaliga now has a losing record of 6-7. As for Master's Academy, they are on a roll lately: they've won ten of their last 12 contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 12-5 record this season.

Tohopekaliga will head out to challenge Cypress Creek at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Master's Academy, it'll be a Battle of the Birds when Master's Academy Eagles challenge East River Falcons at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
