Mead had to endure a 33-game losing streak dating back to last season, but that streak is no more. They snuck past the Boys Town Cowboys with a 42-36 win on Thursday. The Raiders' offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.

Mead got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Riley Koranda out in front who posted 13 points and three steals. Another player making a difference was Elizabeth Brennan, who scored ten points.

Mead was working as a unit and finished the game with ten assists. That's the most assists they've posted since the start of last season.

Despite the loss, Boys Town still got an impressive performance from Starr Mills, who went 5 for 11 on her way to 11 points along with seven boards and six steals. Abby Clark was another key player, putting up six points and five rebounds.

Mead's first win this season bumped their record up to 1-11. As for Boys Town, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost six of their last seven matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 2-8 record this season.
