Softball Recap: Northeastern Takes a Loss

Northeastern was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their 14th straight loss dating back to last season. They lost 16-0 to the Manteo Redskins. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Redskins this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 15-0 on Friday.

Northeastern's defeat dropped their record down to 0-5. As for Manteo, they now have a winning record of 2-1.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Northeastern will face off against Cape Hatteras at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. Northeastern has given up an average of 16.4 runs per game this season, so hopefully the team got some pitching drills in this week. As for Manteo, they will challenge Holmes at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Holmes will roll in looking for their fourth straight win, something Manteo surely won't give up without a fight.
