Soccer Recap: Chilton County Takes a Loss

Chilton County has been on a difficult stretch since their win on February 27. They lost 10-0 to the Calera Eagles on Tuesday. While losing is never fun, the Tigers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Alabama soccer rankings (they are ranked 152nd, while the Eagles are ranked 43rd).

Chilton County's loss dropped their record down to 1-11-1. As for Calera, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 7-3-1 record this season.

Chilton County will be playing at home against Stanhope Elmore at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Chilton County has given up an average of 5.3 goals per game this season, so hopefully the team got some defensive drills in this week. As for Calera, they will square off against Montevallo at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. Montevallo will roll in looking for their fourth straight victory, something Calera surely won't give up without a fight.
