Softball Recap: West End Makes It Six in a Row at Home

While West End's victory against Appalachian wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Patriots skirted past the Eagles 3-2. The win continues a trend for the Patriots in their matchups with the Eagles: they've now won four in a row.

Kennedi Nix was excellent, going 1-for-2 with two runs, one stolen base, and one double. The team also got some help courtesy of Bella Falkner, who went 2-for-3 with two doubles and one RBI.

West End's victory was their sixth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 19-9. Those home wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 11.2 runs over those games. As for Appalachian, the defeat snapped their winning streak at six games and leaves them with a 18-9-4 record.

West End does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Appalachian, they will challenge Jefferson Christian Academy at 2:00 p.m. on Monday.
