Basketball Recap: Mogollon's Undefeated Season over After Four Games + How To Watch

If Mogollon was feeling good fresh off their 67-44 takedown of Seligman on Monday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Mustangs took a 56-43 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Round Valley Elks on Tuesday. The loss was the Mustangs' first of the season.

Round Valley found their leader in sophomore Marcus Mortensen, who dropped a double-double with 17 points and 17 rebounds. Mortensen is on a roll when it comes to boards, as he's now pulled down eight or more in each of the last three games he's played dating back to last season. The team also got some help courtesy of Ryan Rodriguez, who went 5-for-12 en route to 14 points and six rebounds.

Having lost for the first time this season, Mogollon fell to 3-1. As for Round Valley, they have started the season off flawlessly and has a 2-0 record to show for it.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Mogollon will square off against Joseph City at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Round Valley, they will face off against Holbrook at 7:00 p.m. on Saturday. The Elks are facing the Roadrunners at the right time seeing as the Roadrunners are stuck on a three-game losing streak.
