Soccer Recap: Chavez's Luck Takes a Turn for the Worse on Saturday

It was a good run, but Chavez unfortunately witnessed the end of their four-game winning streak on Saturday. They fell just short of the Colony Titans by a score of 1-0. While losing is never fun, the Eagles can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California soccer rankings (they are ranked 330th, while the Titans are ranked 154th).

Chavez's defeat ended a four-game streak of away wins and brought them to 6-3-3. As for Colony, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 7-2-2.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Chavez will have a little extra prep time after the loss as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Monroe at 4:00 p.m. on January 15th. As for Colony, they will face off against Centennial at 3:00 p.m. on Friday.
