Basketball Recap: Buford Road Christian Academy Takes a Loss

Buford Road Christian Academy lost 66-42 to the Millwood Bobcats on Tuesday.

Millwood's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Griffin Aktalay, who went 9-for-17 to rack up 22 points in addition to seven boards and three steals. Aktalay's evening made it five games in a row in which he has scored at least 16 points. Another player making a difference was Hazeem Karim, who dropped a double-double with 13 points and 11 rebounds.

Buford Road Christian Academy now has a losing record of 1-2.

Buford Road Christian Academy will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Life Christian Academy at 6:30 p.m. on December 4. As for Millwood, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 38-34 defeat against Amelia Academy on the 21st.
