Softball Recap: Marist Comes Up Short

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Marist can now relate to. They fell just short of the Pendleton Buckaroos by a score of 4-2 on Friday. If the Spartans were looking for revenge after losing 20-10 to the Buckaroos when the teams met back in May of 2018, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Marist's defeat dropped their record down to 17-10. As for Pendleton, the victory was the sixth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 20-3.

While Marist had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair will be back at it again later today.
