Soccer Game Preview: Oakland vs. Skyline

The Oakland Wildcats will face off against the Skyline Titans at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.

It was a proper cat-fight when Oakland challenged Fremont on Wednesday. Oakland came up short against Fremont, falling 3-0. Considering the last time the Wildcats couldn't score was back in November of 2024, the team can't take the result too hard.

Meanwhile, Skyline had to kick off their season on the road on Wednesday, but they showed no ill effects. They never let Castlemont onto the board and left with a 3-0 win. The score was close at the half, but the Titans pulled away in the second half with two goals.

This is the second loss in a row for Oakland and nudges their season record down to 1-4. As for Skyline, their victory bumped their record up to 1-0.

Oakland skirted past Skyline 1-0 when the teams last played back in January of 2024. Will Oakland repeat their success, or does Skyline have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
