Soccer Game Preview: Raleigh Charter vs. Triangle Math & Science

The Raleigh Charter Phoenix will head out on the road to face off against the Triangle Math & Science Tigers at 5:30 p.m. on Monday. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.

Raleigh Charter barely beat East Wake Academy the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Phoenix never let the Eagles get on the board and left with a 3-0 win on Friday. Raleigh Charter haven't had any issues with East Wake Academy recently, as the game was their seventh consecutive victory against them.

Meanwhile, Triangle Math & Science hadn't done well against Voyager Academy recently (they were 0-4 in their previous four matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Wednesday. The Tigers put the hurt on the Vikings with a sharp 7-4 win. The contest was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 5-1.

Triangle Math & Science hit Voyager Academy with a four-pronged attack, as the team got scores from Abdul Mayegun (3), Ahmet Emre Aras (2), Noel Biju, and Imran Mitchell Ali.

Raleigh Charter's victory bumped their record up to 7-4-1. As for Triangle Math & Science, the win got them back to even at 6-6.

Everything went Raleigh Charter's way against Triangle Math & Science when the teams last played back in August, as Raleigh Charter made off with an 8-2 victory. In that matchup, the Phoenix amassed a halftime lead of 5-1, an impressive feat they'll look to repeat on Monday.
