Baseball Game Preview: Fallston Cougars vs. Joppatowne Mariners

The Fallston Cougars will head out to take on the Joppatowne Mariners at 3:30 p.m. on Monday. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.

Fallston is coming in fresh off a high-stakes matchup with another one of Maryland's top teams: John Carroll, who was ranked seventh at the time (Fallston was ranked 19th). Fallston lost 12-4 to John Carroll on Friday. The Cougars just can't catch a break and have now endured three defeats in a row.

Fallston saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Reese Conley, who scored a run and stole a base while going 1-for-3.

Meanwhile, Joppatowne was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They came up short against Perryville, falling 18-2.

Joppatowne's defeat dropped their record down to 1-3. As for Fallston, they now have a losing record of 3-4.
