 The Greenfield/Northwestern Tigers will head out on the road to  challenge  the Camp Point Central Panthers at 4:30  p.m.  on Friday. Greenfield/Northwestern is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 7.5  runs per game  this season.
 On Thursday, Greenfield/Northwestern was able to grind out a solid  win over West Central co-op [Winchester-Bluffs], taking the game  8-5. The  victory made it back-to-back  wins for Greenfield/Northwestern.
  Kohen Vetter made a big impact while hitting and pitching. He  didn't allow a single  earned run while striking out seven over five innings pitched. Vetter was also solid in the batter's box,  scoring a  run and  stealing a base while going 2-for-4.
 In other batting news,  Talon Albrecht was  excellent,  going 1-for-3 with four  RBI, a  stolen base,  and a  run. Another player making a difference was  Brock Bowman, who  scored a  run and  stole a base while going 3-for-4.
 Meanwhile, Camp Point Central never let their opponents score on Wednesday. They walked away with  a   4-0  victory over Seymour. That's two games straight that Camp Point Central has won by  exactly four  runs.
 Greenfield/Northwestern has  been performing  well recently as they've  won five of their last six matches,  which provided a massive bump to their 17-10-1 record  this season. As for Camp Point Central, their record is now 8-12.
 Greenfield/Northwestern suffered a grim  15-3 defeat to Camp Point Central  in their previous meeting  back in May of 2023. Can Greenfield/Northwestern avenge their  defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
