League recap: Wellsville stuns Leetonia in upset

Inter-Tri-County - Small recap Oct. 30, 2012

The biggest upset of the week belonged to Wellsville, who took down 489th ranked Leetonia, 41-28. Jordan Sloan threw for 78 yards and one touchdown and ran for 37 yards in the win.

Sloan and Camden Douglas provided fans with a highlight when they connected against the Bears. The connection was good for 78 yards, the longest such play in Inter-Tri-County - Small this season.

The Tigers' offense was tough to stop this week, as it produced the league's top passer, rusher and receiver. On the ground Marcus Moxley chipped in 133 yards.

Douglas was the best wideout in the league this week as Wellsville topped Leetonia. Douglas racked up one reception for 78 yards.

McKinley's Josh Hurford and Dylan Mick have formed a dynamic duo this season, leading the league in both passing and receiving yards. Hurford has thrown for 693 yards this season, while Mick, a 6-foot-0 receiver, has 17 catches for 292 yards. Columbiana's Britton Steiginga leads the league in rushing yards with 937.

Western Reserve extended the longest winning streak in Inter-Tri-County - Small this week by beating the Clippers, 15-0. The victory was the eighth in a row for the Devils.
