Hoggard waltzed into their match on Tuesday with 13 straight wins... but they left with 14. They came within a single set of losing the streak, but they secured a 3-2 W against the Topsail Pirates. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 3-1 on September 4th.

Hoggard was staring down a 2-1 deficit headed into the fourth set, but they rallied to take the next two for the win. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-22, 16-25, 21-25, 25-21, 15-4.

Norah Davis paced Hoggard's offense, picking up 23 kills. Davis got some help from Lily Voth and her 25 assists. Payton Jones controlled things from the service line, finishing with three aces.

Hoggard's win bumped their record up to 18-3. As for Topsail, with the loss, they broke their three-match winning streak and moved their record to 11-5.

Looking ahead, Hoggard will be playing in front of their home fans against Laney at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Topsail, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 3-0 victory against South Central on the 1st.
