Basketball Recap: Francis Parker Comes Up Short

Francis Parker was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They fell 63-56 to the Santa Fe Christian Eagles. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Lancers of the 59-58 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in February of 2024.

When it comes to explaining why Francis Parker lost, don't look at Tavid Johnson. Despite the final result, he went 8 for 17 on his way to 29 points in addition to six rebounds and five steals. Johnson's evening made it 28 games in a row in which he has scored at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Niccolo Whitchurch, who posted seven points.

Francis Parker's loss dropped their record down to 11-8. As for Santa Fe Christian, they pushed their record up to 16-4 with the win, which was their seventh straight at home.

Coincidentally, both will both be playing La Jolla Country Day the next time they take the court. Santa Fe Christian will host La Jolla Country Day at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday, while Francis Parker will host them at 6:30 p.m. on Friday.
